Adam

Let me introduce you to my man, Adam.  He's the proud father of two (plus Petey) and my better half. 

Isn't he cute???  This is why our girls have beautiful blue eyes

He was born Adam Christopher Mark to his parents Adrian and Lana.  Here he is with Grandpa and Grandma Huhnke, Adam's older sister, Amanada, and his late Aunt Paula.

We met at Belmont.  He played basketball and I played volleyball.  He caught my eye pretty quick because of his height.  Then I got to know him and the rest is history.

We dated 2 years, fell in love, got engaged and were married May 2005.

 We just closed on our house.  Look at those young kids...they don't have a clue. 





We did the normal couple things.  Bought a house, got a dog, did some traveling.  Then it was time to start a family. 

I knew he would be good with kids.  I especially knew he would be good with girls because he always related with our volleyball girls and they would just cling to him.  So it was time to see what I was carrying around for 9 long months and he was ready...

or so we thought...this is Adam passed out at the hospital.  Just kidding, he was just goofing off, which I enjoyed because I was so nervous.  But the nurses walked in while we were taking this picture and they did NOT think it was funny.

Well, it turns out I was right.  Adam was a good dad.  And he knew just what to do with a daughter.

So we went ahead and went for number two, and he got lucky with another daughter.  Hello Emilie!!

I am the luckiest girl in the world to have met my best friend and get to marry him.  As corny as it sounds, he does complete me.  Everything I am horrible at, he excels and vice versa.  We share so many laughs together and I can't get enough of him.  When he comes home from work, he has 3 impatient girls just waiting to see him.  He's amazing.  He somehow finds energy on his car ride home and by the time he pulls in the driveway, he flies into the house, scoops up the girls, and goes straight into play time so I can finish cooking supper or get a minute to use the restroom...alone.  :)  He is the best dad to my children and the best husband in the world.  Our girls have no idea how blessed they are to have such an amazing male role model in their life.  And I pity the guys who they will be bringing home to meet us as they begin their search for their own companion who will attempt to fill their hearts with the same love he has shown them.  God is good to me, because God gave me Adam.  He knew just what he was doing.
