Birthday and Baptism

It finally got here!  The party, that Aubrie has been planning since Emi's in October, finally arrived!!  She invited all her friends from school over and Emilie was allowed to invite a friend and she picked Higgs.  It was loud and it was fun.  We shipped the dog and Kyle off to Amanda's house for a nap so the kids could have free run of the house.

Aubrie talked about a flamingo party, princess party, you name it party and she finally narrowed it down to Curious George. We had cupcakes, frozen chocolate bananas and cake push pops.

I bought the invitations and all these cute printables on Etsy. For a small price, you get the PDF file and can print as many things as you want and you have the files forever!  You can find the printables here:  Curious Printables

The kids got a Curious George reader and bag to put candy in from the...

pinata!!

Adam and Mike ran the kids around outside.  Luckily we had really nice weather.

Ryan definitely had the best form with the pinata.  His dad would have been proud!!

Baby Rhett and my workout partner, Katie.

She looks happy here, but she had some rough moments this weekend.  It's not easy celebrating someone else's birthday when you are 2.

On Sunday, it was Kyle's big day.  He was baptized a week before he turned 6 months.

The Anglemyers were there!

Sweet Kyle

Sweet Cranky Kyle

We tried to get a family photo

Did I mention that Emilie is 2?

We had all of Adam's family there.  Lana made the girls' dresses and they were too cute.  I got Kyle's outfit from Etsy at a really cute shop, TwoLCreations
The girls were NOT well behaved during the baptism.  Emilie was crying as we walked up there and kept going back and forth between us and Grandma.  Aubrie was peaking into the baptismal font and people were scared she was going to tip it over.  Kyle was a little fussy as well, he was hungry of course.  At the end of the baptism, our church sings a hymn that I love (I'll share my favorite part below).  During that hymn, I whispered to Adam, "This is our last baptism!"  I couldn't believe it.  Our oldest turns 4 and our baby is 6 months old and growing rapidly.  And Emilie is...2.  :)

Child of love our love's expression
Love's creation, loved indeed.
Fresh from God, refresh our spirits
Into joy and laughter lead.

I hope everyone had a good weekend and is staying healthy!  Love to all! Pin It Now!
