Speak into my good ear

Oh wait.  Emilie doesn't have any.  My poor baby was up last night crying in the middle of the night.  She never does that, so I knew something was up.  When I went up there, she wasn't warm and I took her temperature.  No signs of teeth coming in.  So this morning her eyes were runny and so was her nose.  I had bible study but luckily it is near the doctor's office and I got her an appointment.  We left bible study early and it turns out that she still has a double ear infection.  Poor girl.  We now have some stronger medicine and hopefully we will get rid of all this yucky stuff.

While dad was at work, the girls and I wrapped his Christmas present.  I got out a box and Aubrie put it in the box and then I hear "uh oh!" and I said, what?  Aubrie said, "Emmie did it!" and pointed in the box.  Emilie just took a big drink of milk and then belched and spit up into the box, right on top of daddy's gift.  Hope he likes it.  It sure will be stinky by the time Christmas rolls around and he has to open it.  hahaha.  They enjoyed picking the paper, folding it, and picking out ribbon.  They were so proud and Aubrie enjoyed helping me hide it.

I made pretzel coated chicken strips tonight for dinner.  I saw a recipe by Guy Fieri, but it has spicy stuff on it, is pretty extensive, and I wanted to make them as plain as I could.  So I thawed some chicken, cut it into strips, and then took 1/4 cup of mayo and a 1/4 cup of Dijon mustard and mixed it together.  Then I tossed the chicken into the bowl and stirred it until they were all covered.  Then I crushed some sourdough pretzels and rolled the chicken around in that and put it on a cookie sheet with some non-stick spray on it.  I baked it at 425 for about 15 minutes.  It turned out pretty good!  I enjoyed it and the girls were just ok with it.  I think it is because I left some bigger pieces of pretzel.  Next time I'll have to really grind it up.  Oh well.

I also thought I would share the "Charlie Brown Tree" I made for our dining room table.  That's what Adam calls it.  I just cut some branches from our tree and stuck it in some floral foam and decorated it.  I really like it.  You'll have to excuse the tubs in the background.  That's our Christmas tubs that need to be put back in the attic.  It's always something...

Love to all!
