benadryl?

I've had three straight nights of little sleep and it is somewhat reminiscent of how if feels to have a newborn at home.  I feel so tired and fatigued and I don't know why I'm tossing and turning.  If tonight starts off the same way, I'm going to have to ask for some help from my old friend benadryl.  It only takes one to knock me out.

I went to the Y today with selfish motives.  I planned to drop the girls off for an hour and go outside and lay by the pool and nap.  All I had on was my flip flops and swimsuit with workout clothes over the top.  I headed out that way only to find that today was the first day that the pool changed its hours because of school starting back up today and it didn't open until 4.  WAAAA!!!  I ended up playing a game on my phone and sitting outside for 45 minutes and then went back in and got my girls.  Go figure.

Aubrie wore a new top today and I really liked the colors.  She enjoyed wearing a floppy flower in her head.  She got in trouble today for jumping on the bed during nap time.  You can hear her on the monitor singing and out of breath from jumping.  Sometimes you'll hear her bump the headboard and she'll grunt, "ouch!"  She's also starting to get out of her bed.  We've been fortunate.  We moved her into a big girl (queen sized) bed at 18 months.  She never once got out of it.  She would sit there and call for us and wait for us to come lift her out of bed.  But this week things have changed.  Before you know it, I'll be sleeping and feel like somebody is watching me and open my eyes to see Aubrie watching me sleep.

Boots are in at all seasons at our house.

Emilie had a good day today.  She loves talking on the phone to her dad.  Even if she finds the phone laying on the couch, she'll go grab it and put it on her mouth and say "hi dah.  hi dah."  She's pushing me closer to the edge as well.  She's trying to climb the stairs.  It's only a matter of time, so I let her climb them on the way up for naps and I crawl behind her to make sure she's safe.  She's a pretty good climber.  I got a shot of her teeth today.

I put a pork tenderloin in the crock pot today to make a new enchilada recipe.  The girls ate the pork like it was candy.  All I did was salt and pepper it.  Nothing special.  I also made corn on the cob and broccoli.  You would have thought I served them both bowls of ice cream the way they were eating it so fast and asking for more.  The enchiladas were no good.  The recipe has potential, but it needs something.  Therefore, no sharing a recipe tonight.

Love to all! Pin It Now!
