yogaaahhh

I was determined to go to yoga today.  Several things made me determined.  One, I need to quit burning so many calories.  Two, I need to something for my neck and shoulders.  It happens to be where I carry all my stress and I am wanting to work on my posture.

We first joined the Y last year when I was four or five months pregnant.  I immediately went to a yoga class, but realized I didn't belong.  The baby bump was too much in the way.  So the instructor told me to come to the chair yoga.  You do a lot of "responsible" stretching and poses and the bump is not likely to get in the way.  I loved it.  I was in the class with a lot of elderly people.  It only lasted for about a month because soon I felt uncomfortable and the only place for comfort was in the water for aerobics.

But today, I was back.  Chair yoga is the only yoga class that does not interfere with napping schedules.  I just have to get there on time.  I love being around elderly people.  They just make me laugh and they are so kind.  The instructor is kind of an older gentleman, too.  His name is Jim.

Today Jim asked for the fan to be turned on and a man got mad and left the room.  He mumbled something when he left and I was the only one who heard what he said.  He said, I'm cold.  But after he left, Jim said, "what did he say?" and all the elderly people started guessing.

"He said he's gotta go"
"He said he'll be back"
"I think he went to the bathroom"
"No, he said he's too old."
"Was he cold?"
Yoga Jim asked, "Who did NOT take their pills today?"

Turns out he was mad that they turned the fan on and then yoga Jim told me and a couple of old ladies that yesterday morning he was complaining about something and he was drunk.  That got them talking!  :)  They crack me up.  I love my senior classes at they Y.

Adam has been in Memphis the last two days and he made it home safely.  We met him at our usual restaurant.  Both girls were so excited when they saw him outside.  We also saw a large rainbow today.  It was beautiful.  I took pictures with my new camera but it doesn't have a cord.  We might get one tomorrow so I can upload pictures to my computer and post them on the blog.  I hope everyone enjoys their weekend!
Love to all! Pin It Now!
