Happy Birthday, Mom!!!

Happy Birthday to the woman who taught me how to be a good mom.  I love watching her play with her grandkids and seeing the kid in her come out.  She doesn't act or look a day over 70!  Hahaha.  (That's how old I told Aubrie she was.)  I hope you had a wonderful day and that you found the perfect running shoes.  I love you so much!
Well, she did it.  Brittany had my back again.  She's a machine and I love how she enjoys cooking/baking and isn't afraid to try new recipes.  This recipe is originally from the Christmas with Country Living 2001 edition.  She sent me a picture of her result and I wanted to run over to her house immediately.  I can't wait to try this one out!!

The girls and I went to see a volleyball player play tonight.  It was an exciting game and good to see her.  The girls were well behaved and enjoyed eating their chicken nuggets and apple slices in the bleachers.  Emilie laughs a lot when she watches volleyball.  I don't know what is so funny to her, but I love her laugh.  They both had a good day at school today.  Emilie had to have a last minute outfit change because she fed herself yogurt and it got all over her clothes and in her hair.  She looked like I put hair gel in her hair.
That picture was taken before she went for her hair.  But you get the idea.  It hit me today that she is turning ONE in 19 days.  NINETEEN DAYS!!!!!  When did this happen??!!  Sigh.  This means I have to get started on planning a party.

Aubrie's waking up problem is better.  She was up around 6:45 this morning saying she wanted to get up, so I went up to her room at 6:55 and laid in bed with her and we watched the clock together and then got up when it turned 7:00.  She said, "Look mommy!  It's the sevens!"  She really is a smart kiddo.  She saved me 40 bucks for the clock that dances, sings, whatever.  I'm glad my 5 cent notecard worked.  :)

It's time to sign off.  My left foot is cold.  Petey has taken off with one of my slippers and I've already wasted 5 minutes looking for it.  Maybe it's in the backyard and I'll be able to see it in the daylight.  Luckily Adam is on his way home tonight from Portland, OR.  We sure did miss him this week.  :)

Love to all!! Pin It Now!
