Half way!

This has been such a long week.  It could be from my overwhelming amount of work.  It could be from my washing machine (10 days old) needing repaired already.  Or maybe Aubrie's new behavior tactics.  Either way, I think I'm going to make it.

Wednesdays are fun for me because I am back in the classroom.  I had bible study today and I have 3 going on 4 year olds.  Today we learned about the burning bush and the class is starting to run smoothly now that we all know each other.  I even got a few hugs now and then.  And they say cute stuff.  One boy was waiting for his mom and he was the last one and I told him not to worry, she's coming.  He said, "Yeah.  She talks A LOT!"

They are learning about Moses being a shepherd in Midian and God speaking to him through the burning bush.  They all got a kick out of my deep voice when I said, "Moses!  Moses!  Come here Moses!"  I use the felt board and colorful characters that I grew up learning from in my Sunday school days.  Nobody uses them anymore and the church has a beautiful set that never gets used.  It is time consuming getting out each piece and putting it back where it belongs each week.  But the kids love the visual part of the story.

Aubrie also loves Wednesdays.  I think her favorite part is music.  She's singing the songs and picking it up quickly.  She surprised her dad the other day when she started reciting the pledge of allegiance while sitting on the potty.  It was not completely correct..."I pledge allegiance to the flags."  But she's just soaking everything up like sponge and I'm glad she's enjoying herself.

They had to put Emilie in the baby nursery today and she did better.  She doesn't like how loud the older baby nursery is and liked being in with the tiny babies.  After everyone leaves, the teachers get to hear the lecture so the teachers' children all get together in one room and eat lunch and play.  They said Emilie lit up when she saw her big sister come in the room, so this is where she ate lunch...

You can barely see her little face over the table, but she got to sit in a big girl chair next to her sister and eat.

I've got some good recipes coming up.  Has anybody tried any of my guest recipes?

Love to all!
