lazy shopper

Aubrie is desperately needing some bigger clothes for cooler weather.  Her pants have been high water and her sleeves are short.  The problem is, there is really no good time to go to the stores I want to go to so that I can get what she needs.  So today I shopped online.  I only do that for Adam because his sizes are hard to find.  But I must say, it was kind of nice.  I only browsed at items that were available in her size and I was done in no time.  There is also the benefit of finding a coupon code online to use.  I also shopped at a website that used two different stores and only one check out and shipping.  It felt lazy...but maybe it wasn't lazy.  Maybe I'm just smart!

Nah.

I'll tell you one thing.  I'm tired.  My girl Aubrie got up at 6 am this morning and I let her get in bed with me.  It's probably the last thing I should do, but I'm so tired.  She then got up and left her room again after I put her down for a nap.  And then tonight, she got up and left her room 4 times after I put her down.  I don't know what to do or why she is doing it.  Part of me worries that she's not used to the new house and part of me wonders if it is just something she's going through.  I ended up writing in red marker what 7:00 looks like and taping it right under the clock.  Then I had her lay down and I showed her 12:00, then 3:00, then 4:00, then 6:00 and had her pretend to sleep at all those times.  But then when we got to 7:00 we pretended to wake up and get out of bed!  Doubt it will work.  I'll let you know.

Meanwhile, Rip Van Emmie is sleeping the day and night away.  She took two naps today and I had to wake her up from both of them.  She must be going through a growth spurt.  She would sleep for 4 plus hours for a nap if I let her.

I threw together a pasta salad for the girls tonight.  Simple.  Just bow tie pasta, mozzarella cubes, salami, and bell pepper.  Aubrie LOVES bell peppers.  I put some Italian dressing on and served it and they both turned their noses up at it.  Emilie actually screamed at me.  Aubrie tried two bites of it, but no.  I was hoping it would take because it would be good to send in their lunches.  So we had leftover chicken and apple sausages and some veggies.  Any suggestions on a good toddler lunch?  No peanut butter at our school, otherwise I would be solid.  :(

Hope everyone is well!  Thoughts, prayers, and lots of good luck goes to my TX friend Josie who has a doctor appointment tomorrow.  Like Aubrie sings, "I am with you always." Matthew 28:20

Love to all! Pin It Now!
