Butterscotch Cookies
This is my great, great grandmother's recipe, Margaret Wonacott. Mom called her Gram. And now my girls call my mom Gram. Her family immigrated from Scotland to Bishop, CA. She was known for her baking and she rarely went by her recipes.
1 cup of SOFT butter or margarine
2 cups packed brown sugar
1 tsp baking soda
1 tsp cream of tartar
2 eggs
4 cups of flour
1 tsp vanilla
1 cup of chopped walnuts or pecans
1/2 tsp salt
Beat butter and sugar until creamy. Add eggs and vanilla, then the rest of ingredients. (The cookie batter may seem a little crumbly, that is normal.) Bake at 400 for 8-10 minutes.
These are so yummy! I love them. I don't like butterscotch chips, but I love these butterscotch cookies!!!
This was my sous-chef. She was a lot of help. Look at how blurry those beads are. She's definitely moving quick!
Today was a relaxing day. Adam's parents watched the girls while I ran a couple of errands. I looked into a lens for my camera so that I can take better pictures and came to find out that I can't add a lens to my camera. I'll have to get a whole different camera. Quite an expensive investment. We'll have to wait for that to happen later down the road. :) First I need to get my growing family into a bigger house!
Aubrie enjoyed playing outside this morning. It wasn't so hot today. She likes to pick out her shoes and hat. Here was today's choice.
She can spend ALL day outside. :)
Thank you to everyone who has sent me encouraging texts, emails, and calls regarding my blog. I'm glad you enjoy reading it. :)
Love to all! Pin It Now!
