Happy Birthday Dad!!

Today is dear ol dad's birthday...Happy Birthday dad!!!!  Here is his picture with his two beautiful sisters, Brenda, on the left, and June on the right.  Aren't they sweet?!

It was yet another brutally hot day in Nashville.  I hate days like today because it is even too hot to go outside right after breakfast.  We went to the library today for another story time.  Every time there was clapping, Emilie would light up and start smiling and looking around as if she thought the clapping was for her.  Aubrie was a little disappointed because her favorite puppet was not there, but we still had a good time.  She always goes up and hugs them after the show and says thank you. 

Emilie had on one of my favorite summer outfits.  My friend Katie got it for Aubrie when she was little and it's a little short on Emilie because she's a giant, but it is so cute, I can't help but have her wear it.  The back opens up and you can see her little bloomers with a butterfly.  It's perfect for really hot days like today.

She makes me tired just watching her.  I've been trying to potty train and it hasn't gone well.  After today's nap, she was just sour and when we sat her down at the dinner table she just wanted to "hug please" and cry.  Well, the crying then set off baby sister and when Aubrie wouldn't eat her dinner and got a timeout, it just spiraled out of control from there.  I finally got her to eat some food and then I took her outside and hosed her off.  She needed to be outside.  Plus it made me feel better to spray her with the hose.  She just makes me laugh one minute and drives me crazy the next.  Two year olds... Let's just say mommy needed some tylenol and ice cream tonight after the girls went down.  Luckily Adam's parents and sister were here to help me put the girls down.
