Date Night

Since family is in town, Adam and I escaped for a date night.  We went to Burger Up on 12th.  It was delicious!  We then went and picked up some candy and snuck it into the movie.  We were both exhausted at the movie and I was shocked to see it was 8:30 when we got into the car.  :)  I talked him into going to the grocery store with me.  He couldn't remember the last time he's done actual grocery shopping.  I'm kind of glad he doesn't.  Down every aisle he was "suggesting" items to buy and things for me to cook and was throwing me off my rhythm.  Grocery shopping is no fun unless you are buying things for new recipes or you are excited about what you're cooking.  When it is the usual stuff like o.j., milk, bread....boring. 

Here is the family before date night.  I can't believe how big Emilie is getting.  She really looks big in this picture, we think. 

We had a showing today.  The girls were both crying at 5 a.m.  Very uncharacteristic of Aubrie.  Somewhat for teething Emilie.  They both settled back in and we all slept until 8.  Sure enough at 8:15, we got a call requesting a showing at 10.  YIKES!  Thank goodness Adam's parents could take the girls.  I packed up their breakfast and loaded Petey in the car.  Mom actually sent dad back over to mow the lawn for me.  I am so thankful for their help! I busted it in the house to get clothes put away, beds made, floors mopped and vacuumed.  It was another frantic preparation.  We have another showing tomorrow, but that will be a piece of cake since the house is spotless (kind of) and Adam will be here to help. 

I watered the flowers today.  Aubrie is like a magnet to the water hose. 

The kid cannot stay out of the water!  I hope everyone has a good weekend!
