Correction: 4 new teeth

YIKES!  Emilie has 4 new teeth coming in.  Poor thing.  She really isn't that grouchy.  The only thing she is doing is sticking a lot of things in her mouth.  But what baby doesn't do that.  I can't believe she turned 9 months this week.
We played in the backyard tonight.  I got out the sprinkler and put Aubrie in her suit.  She likes it when her dad runs through the sprinkler with her.  So, while holding Emilie, he ran through the sprinkler.

And we blew bubbles with Tia.

And Petey was hot.  He's got a birthday coming up.  He'll be six.  Can you see how his hair is getting lighter around his face?  Another sign that he is aging:  He came.  This dog never comes.  "Petey come" is a phrase that bounces off his ears and never registers.  He's gotten loose in our neighborhood a million times and we have to go chasing him either on foot or by car.  He's so bad.  He can roll over, shake hands, high five, high ten, play dead (in Spanish), and balance a bone on his nose until you tell him to get it.  But no come.  Until yesterday.

I let him out in the morning and was feeding Emilie breakfast and something dropped to the floor.  I thought he was inside, but once I realized he was still outside, I opened the backdoor and there was no sign of him.  The back gate was open.  I yelled for him and nothing.  So I grabbed the phone and called Lana, since they were in town, and told her she might be coming over to watch the girls while I go on Petey search.

I went on one side of the house and I called him, he barked back.  Ok, he's on the other side of the house.  I walked over on the other side of the house and called him and he barked back at me again.  Where is this dog?  I called, he barked.  I called, he barked.  Then I looked over to the back yard and he was there.  Barking at me through the fence.  He must have heard me call him and he ran back to the yard!  Maybe he thinks I won't go find him anymore and needs to stay close.  He usually wanders off at the lake and we have to chase him there, but this year he didn't.  What a good dog.  Finally, after six years, Petey came when called.  Good boy Pete.  :)
Love to all! Pin It Now!
